The exact duties of the volunteers are to be determined and are open to suggestion. Volunteers may decide which items they are willing to do. Possible duties include:
- Collect score slips after each round.
- Compile scores for each participant each round.
- Update the leaderboard each round.
- Fetch snacks and drinks on request for participants to minimize disruptions to active games.
- Settle disputes.
- Determine the genre, games, and opponents for each round according to preset formulas (i.e. random).
- Make sure that the day runs smoothly and the tournament stays on schedule.
- Make sure that each table finishes the game in the allotted time.
- Take pictures!
- Act as a resource for rules questions.
