Maddie Conversations: Going Places
July 26th, 2010I’ve been trying to write down the funny things that Maddie has been saying. She has no problems communicating, and she often entertains us with the things that she comes up with! Here are a couple related to “going places.”

Perhaps we’ve been taking too many trips lately.
Maddie: Daddy, we need to take this [toy] piano!
Daddy: Take it where, Maddie?
Maddie: To South America!
I’m not sure where she got this idea! We have never talked about going to South America (nor do we know anyone who has). I’m guessing she got it from her map studies at school (yes, they actually do study maps in her 2-year old class, believe it or not).

She’s very into pushing her shopping cart around the living room. The other day, she said the following while pushing the cart.
Maddie: I’m going to go to Whole Foods.
me: What are you getting at Whole Foods?
Maddie: Um. Bunny Snacks. Ronis [pepperoni]. Beans. Breakfast bars. And some really nice cheese.
