Photos from Kentucky and more!
April 10th, 2007![]()
We didn’t take very many exciting photos from our trip this past weekend. We drove to Kentucky on Thursday afternoon and returned home on Sunday night. The weather wasn’t great, though it was kinda fun to see snow. We drove through some flurries on both Thursday and Sunday and saw quite a bit of the white, fluffy stuff on Friday.
I noticed something on this trip that I had not noticed on previous trips. There’s a section of I-77 that shares with I-81 in what I have learned is a wrong-way concurrency. Is it North or is it South?? I guess the real answer is “neither,” but I can tell you that it is confusing. Our drive wasn’t terribly exciting, but we did listen to The Fourth Bear by Jasper Fforde. I had read The Eyre Affair by the same author and had intended to read more of Jasper’s books. The audiobook kept us amused throughout most of the trip. 0100001011111101010101!!!
And now, here’s a KerryAndGabe.com blogging first…an embedded video! We didn’t spend a lot of time outside during the races, but I did manage to capture this fine bit of footage for your viewing pleasure. It’s, uh, just like being there! Oh, and just for the record…no, our horse is not that one that was finishing last. Our horse on this race didn’t even make it to the finish line! Wow, we really do know how to pick ‘em.

Here’s another very short snippet that demonstrates the type of thing that happens quite frequently with our tiny cam (HA! Aside from hearing Gabe realize that he has the camera in video mode, you can hear, “Dylan, make a normal face!”):
